About us

Manchester moving people, moving people to Europe.

A small Manchester international-removals firm. Greater Manchester catchment. Four destinations. Northern-direct voice. The brief: do this corridor properly, don't pretend to do others.

Why Manchester

A proper Northern firm. Not a London firm with a Manchester depot.

Manchester is a mixed city — properly mixed. Italian families three and four generations deep in Cheetham Hill. Spanish-Mancunian families in Withington and Whalley Range. Portuguese workers near the south-side new-build estates. Tech professionals in MediaCityUK. Academics across three universities. Retirees from Bramhall and Cheadle heading for the Costa belt. We see all of it.

The firms that run Manchester→Europe moves out of London depots do an alright job. They charge a Manchester-pickup surcharge that's bigger than the actual cost difference and they don't really know what they're picking up. We're based here. The drive from us to your Manchester address is twenty minutes, not three hours. The survey conversation is face-to-face. The crew that loads is the crew that drives.

We also don't pretend to do every corridor. Four destinations. France, Italy, Spain, Portugal. If your move is to Germany, the Netherlands, Scandinavia, or anywhere else — we'll point you to a better-shaped firm. That's not modesty, it's honesty.

How we work

Four principles. Plainly stated.

Written quotes hold

The price is set in writing after the survey. It doesn't move upward unless the scope changes materially — and if it does, we requote rather than absorb the change and surprise you on the day. No bait-and-switch.

Same crew, both ends

The team that surveys is the team that quotes. The team that loads in Manchester is the team that drives to the destination. Where size demands a second crew at the other end we say so up front; we don't hand off and hope.

Community routes get community knowledge

The Italian-British family moving back to Sicily, the Costa-bound retiree from Trafford, the MediaCityUK tech worker to Lisbon — we know these routes because we run them every week. Specifics come up because we've already heard them.

Honest about what we are not

Four corridors. If your move is outside them we'll say. If you're outside the Greater Manchester catchment we'll say. If your situation needs a corridor specialist we know one (uk-france, uk-italy, uk-spain, uk-portugal — all sister sites). We'd rather lose the quote than do the move badly.

What we are not

The no-list.

We're not a national chain. Greater Manchester catchment. If you're calling from London, Birmingham, or further afield, sister network sites (Peckham Removals for South London, London Moving for North London, the corridor specialists for single-corridor moves) are usually better.

We don't transport pets. Different regulatory regime, different vehicle requirements. We work alongside specialist pet-transport firms (Animalcouriers, Pets2Travel) and can refer you.

We don't give tax or visa advice. We'll tell you what residency-evidence pack to assemble for customs. For NHR (Portugal), the Spanish-residency window, the Italian impatriate scheme, or which visa pathway applies — talk to a tax adviser and an immigration lawyer.

We don't move outside our four corridors. Not Germany, not the Netherlands, not Switzerland, not Scandinavia, not Eastern Europe. Plenty of network firms run those — we'll refer.

We don't run boilerplate "moving day" upsells. No on-the-day surprises. No "we found extra items" charges that weren't surveyed. No premium-tier-of-something-you-don't-need.

If your move is one we run, tell us about it.

A first conversation tells us whether we're the right firm. Either way, you get an honest answer.
